Soccer Info

OCYSL and the Middle School Teams have filled up rather quickly now that school is settling down. We have enough registered to player full sided games. The games will be played on Monday and Wednesdays at the soccer complex at 5:30.  They will be 11 vs. 11

Coaches are:

Neal Bunker/CMS #2               Practice Tue-Thur           

Troy Meier, John Buie/CMS #1 Practice Tue-Thur

The CMS kids practice place is TBA (Hopefully it will be at CMS for both teams, Tue/Thur 5:30-6:45 or so)     

John Fanta/HST-MVMS            Practice Tue-Thur            5-6 @ MVMS/Reiner

Javin Behler, Simon Dean/HMS  Practice Tue-Thur            3:45-5:00 @ Base Rec Center

The middle school league, sponsored by OCYSL, is open to all 6^th, 7^th and 8^th graders, both boys and girls, at all 3 local middle schools:  Chaparral MS, Mountain View MS and Holloman MS.  We also have a team made up of home schooled students.  This is a U14 league and a player can not turn 14 years of age before August 1^st, 2006 in order to be eligible to play.

*Our middle school program is sponsored by OCYSL and not our local schools, therefore, all sixth grade students who are true U12 players are welcome on all rosters (space permitting) as long as parents acknowledge permission on the registration form for their child to “play up” to U14.* 

Practices for the middle school league begin the week of August 28^th with games beginning on Wednesday, September 13^th.  All middle school games will be played on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 5:30 at the Riner Steinhoff Soccer Complex on First Street in Alamogordo.  Individual team coaches will set practices days, practice times and practice areas and will inform all players of these things when a player is placed on a roster.
