Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Team Parents!!!
Here are a few reminders
and dates and for everyone:
For those of you that are
interested, NMYSA is holding a "E" clinic for coaches in Las Cruces Sept 5-7,
2008. It is FREE of charge for our coaches and NO PRE-REQUISITE is
required. This would be a great asset to have under your belt as a
coach-especially if coaching the older U-10 and above age groups. (No
date yet for younger groups in Alamogordo,
I would still like to hear from those of you that are interested).

PS- After you take a
coaches clinic through NMYSA- we refund one of your child's registration, and
half off of a second child.

- Teams will be formed on Sunday, August 24th,
2008 2-5 at the Library, 1.) Coach requests made by
parents will be honored; to the extent that it is possible,
practice days/friend requests will be
honored, returning players will be on their previous team
provided the team /coach still exists 2.) All others will be placed
on teams through a blind draw. 3.) We are trying to keep rosters
smaller, rather than at full capacity-to increase playing time for
each child and to accommodate the "late joiners" to the
league.
- UNIFORM
PURCHASE DATES: Uniforms are $35.00-(Two Jerseys,
Shorts and Socks).

Cruz, near Mountain
View Middle School;
instructions are on the sign up sheet.
- Coaches Clinic date has not been finalized
we are working on resolving this. The Director at the NMYSL office
suggested rather than a weekend clinic that includes Friday night, Saturday
all day, and part of Sunday, a weeknight clinic instead; this
would span a few days however. We do need your input on the
clinic, times and days that coaches are available to participate.

Mandatory Coaches Education
In the fall of 2005, OCYSL decided to make it mandatory that all
coaches in the league are required to attend coaching education clinics
offered by OCYSL. All coaching education for league coaches is paid for by
OCYSL. We also voted in the fall of 2007 that all coaches with any education,
YM1 or above and can prove this, will get a free registration for their first
child, and half of their second child. ( not someone else’s, not the
assistant coaches, the child of the licensed coach)
